Once a subtropical sea, now a low mountain range: water has shaped life in the Eifel since time immemorial. Its traces and those of its use are omnipresent. If we follow them, we encounter gods, Romans, counts and reach England and Scandinavia via Cologne.

Once again, the Förderverein Eifelmuseum, in cooperation with the municipality of Blankenheim, presents a topic that accompanies us all in our everyday lives, but where some things can surprise us.
