Experience successful architecture in Wolsfeld without barriers. Discover the architectural features of this small Eifel village near the Luxembourg border.
Building means changing your own environment.
But it also affects other people.
Architecture is important for the image of a place.
Wolsfeld recognized this early on.
The town has been receiving money from Rhineland-Palatinate for many years.
Wolsfeld uses this money to make its own town more beautiful.
More than 50 measures have been implemented so far.
Many of the beautiful houses have been awarded a prize.
That is why the Natur-Park Südeifel in Wolsfeld has created a hiking trail.
It is called the Eifel Building Culture Theme Trail.
It shows guests the many beautiful houses in Wolsfeld.
The trail starts near the parking lot.
The parking lot is near the church.
There are panels along the way.
On the slabs are texts about the important buildings.
You can go under the slabs with a wheelchair.
There are places to rest along the way.
There is food and drink nearby.
And houses to stay overnight. These are easily accessible.
And there are also good leisure facilities nearby.
The European Union has paid for the path almost single-handedly.
The Southern Eifel Nature Park is also contributing. And many others.
The local community of Ernzen.
The local community of Echter-Nacher-Brück.
The municipality of Südeifel.
The Eifel-Verein and many more.
There you can find more about the European Union.
