Organ impulse with romantic sonata in Maria Laach On Sunday, March 30, 2025, the second organ impulse for Lent will take place at 4 p.m. in the Maria Laach Abbey Church.

Gereon Krahforst will play Praeludium and Fugue in E minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, various Passion chorale arrangements by Gattermann and from his own pen and the highly romantic 6th organ sonata by Gustav Adolf Merkel, in which a Passion chorale and the well-known hymn "Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern" are arranged in a beautiful and harmonious way. The duration is around 45 minutes; admission is free; a collection will be taken at the door. The half-hour organ matinées also take place every Saturday (except Holy Saturday) at 12.00 noon.
