Children's day of the event week "Night of the Volcanoes 2025": Wednesday, 23.07.2025, 14.00 to 16.30 As part of the "Night of the Volcanoes" week of events, a workshop for children entitled "The Emperor's Master Builders" will take place on Children's Day at the Meurin Roman Mine.

In this workshop, participants go on a discovery tour through the almost 2,000-year-old Meurin Roman mine. A child-friendly guided tour imparts knowledge about the life of Roman miners in and around the tuff quarry.
In the interactive part of the workshop, the young explorers become Roman miners themselves: under supervision, tuff blocks are worked on in the stonemason's hut, flour is ground using a millstone and heavy blocks of rock are lifted using a Roman crane. Archery is another highlight of the 2.5-hour program.

Registration is required due to limited places.
