From 20 - 21 May 2023, the music festival of the Musikverein Lüxem "Klassik im Dorf - ein Festival in Lüxem", which was cancelled in 2020 due to the Corona pandemic, will take place. Idea giver and club member Karl-Heinz Steffens, chief conductor of the Prague State Opera, as well as other top-class soloists will be heard in the parish church of St. Maria Magdalena Lüxem in two first-class concerts. For the concert weekend he will invite excellent international musicians, who accompanied or met him during his extraordinary career as solo clarinettist and conductor, to Lüxem. Thus, on Saturday evening May 20, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. a large chamber concert will be performed and on Sunday May 21, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. another concert will be performed with the participation of soloists and the large orchestra of the Musikverein Lüxem. As already communicated, tickets purchased for the cancelled 2020 festival will remain valid for the May 2023 festival.
