Workshop for families with children "in the volcano"

In addition to an interactive introduction to volcanology and rock science for budding volcanologists, in this workshop we dedicate ourselves in each case to individual accessible volcanoes and what they offer and can be seen in them. Here and in the following, the help and cooperation of the children is crucial. We look for interesting stones and minerals, learn about their differences in color, hardness and other properties, and afterwards we know, for example, whether they are of volcanic origin. No question should remain unanswered. This workshop is especially suitable for families with children of school age or older. Parents accompany the children in their explorations in what is for them new and unfamiliar terrain. Sturdy shoes and (weather) appropriate clothing are recommended. Photo equipment, magnifying glass, container for rock samples, (possibly geologist's hammer, protective goggles, protective gloves only for Emmelberg and Rockekyll head) are useful.

Price: 6,00 € per participant, 20,00 € per family with children
