"Love in an emergency"

The novel is about the lives and loves of five women in their mid-life. Their names are Paula, Judith, Brida, Malika and Jorinde. They know each other because fate crossed their life lines. As children and teenagers they experienced the fall of the wall, and where before there were borders and restrictions, now there is freedom. But freedom, they must realize, is just another form of compulsion: the one to choose.
