The cross-country skiing centre at the foot of the Ernstberg, which is the second highest mountain in the Eifel (698m above sea level) and offers optimal winter sports conditions, has the following network of cross-country trails in winter:
Trail 1: Wachtberg, easy, 750m
Trail 2: Ernstberg, medium, 2700m
Trail 3: Ernstberg, difficult, 2200m
Trail 4: Wachtberg, medium-difficult, 3300m
Trail Z: feeder to all trails, easy, 2900m
Rental of winter sports equipment is possible on site.

There is a ski hire shop in the ski hut where you can hire complete cross-country skiing equipment, consisting of skis (nowachs), boots and poles (sizes 30 to 48; skis are available in every size for children and adults). A qualified member of the association staff will advise you. The ski hut is catered for; after skiing or tobogganing you can warm up in the ski hut with a mulled wine or hot chocolate by the warm open fire, and there are hot and cold delicacies for small appetites.
