The tour leads on a three-kilometer circular route through the "Ländchen" area in the municipality of Hellenthal. In the heathland, the branches of the birch trees sway in the wind and mountain hay meadows in colorful bloom give off the sweet scent of hay in midsummer.

Nature conservation measures of the "LIFE + Alliance for Borstgrasrasen" project financed by the EU and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia have created these valuable habitats. The short walk can easily be extended to an exploration of the “Wildenburger Ländchen” with the protected area “Manscheider Bachtal and Paulushof”.
